Kai Levato, Cohort 17
Kai is the editor-in-chief and creative writing editor for the Honors Journal. He is double majoring in Communications and Humanities and plans to pursue a career in editing novels after graduating. He most enjoys reading Japanese literature and contemporary novels, and some of his favorite authors are Neal Schusterman and Haruki Murakami.
Juliette Lopez, Cohort 17 
Expressed Interest in Business 
Juliette is the Honor Journal's editor for poetry and is passionate about creating art through words. Her favorite poem is Edgar Allen Poe’s The Cask of Amontillado and she’d like to thank Dr. Simpson for her patience and support when putting together the Honors Journal.

Andrew James (AJ), Cohort 17
AJ is our Non-Fiction/Essays editor who is double majoring in Journalism & Theatre. As a gay and ethnically mixed student, he understands the importance of inclusion and diversity and strives to make people feel represented. He hopes to become a successful actor and a published writer.

Audrey Taylor, Cohort 16
Audrey is looking at visual media submissions for the honors journal. Majoring in history and minoring in art history. She hopes to go into public history by working in museums and archives. She looks forward to seeing the creativity of the honors program and is excited to see their submissions.

Aya Mikbel, Cohort 15
Aya is the editor for STEM submissions but takes on a larger role in the honors program as our president on the Honors Committee. She is majoring in political science and journalism, as well as minoring in history and American Sign Language. Aya enjoys puzzling, crocheting and running.
